OUT Maine is pleased to announce that our team is continuing to grow!
Join us in welcoming Ellie Roy to our staff, as our new Communications Coordinator. Ellie earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from Boston University in three years, graduating directly into a pandemic in the spring of 2020. Since then, she has worked in Maine’s libraries, marketing agencies, and nonprofit organizations. She is also a published novelist. Ellie says she “finds joy in connecting with audiences on a meaningful level” and is “eager to hit the ground running and create content for OUT Maine that resonates with queer youth and their allies.”
We are also happy to welcome six new board members to the community: Alli Harper, Matt Hikida, Ari Leach, Ben Perry, Karen Robbie, and Racheal Sylvester.
Read Ellie and the new board members’ individual bios on our about page here.
“The skills and expertise that all of these individuals bring to the table will absolutely continue to deepen and expand our work,” says our Associate Director Katie Lutts. Executive Director Sue Campbell adds, “Ellie and the new board members have shown dedication and excitement in being a part of our community already, and we’re looking forward to working alongside them in advancing OUT Maine’s mission with youth statewide.”
Thank you for your ongoing support for our organization, which is enabling us to expand our team and therefore our services to LGBTQIA2S+ youth in Maine. To learn more about our programs or get in touch with our staff, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
