OUT Maine recently received $1,000 from Belfast Co-op. The funds were raised through a Pride month campaign for the upcoming 2022 Rainbow Ball Weekend. The donation was accompanied by paper hearts decorated with pictures and messages of support for LGBTQ+ youth, created by employees, members, and customers of the co-op. The hearts were displayed in the co-op’s windows during Pride month and are now in OUT Maine’s windows on 63 Park Street in Rockland.

“We’re so grateful to the Belfast Coop for its continued support of Maine’s LGBTQ+ youth,” shared Jeanne Dooley, OUT Maine Executive Director. “The good folks at the Belfast Co-op know the meaning of community and they truly walk their talk.”
