Description
The LGBTQ+ Youth Tobacco Prevention Project empowers LGBTQ+ youth to become change-makers to reduce the use of tobacco and vaping products among queer youth and to engage community systems’ support of their efforts. This “Needs Assessment” provides a snapshot of conditions and secondary data related to tobacco use among LGBTQ+ youth who are primarily of high school age in three counties in Maine — Kennebec, Knox, and Waldo. This was a project co-produced by project partners OUT Maine and Healthy Communities of the Capital Area (HCCA). Read more about the project here.
